The New Agenda has a (yes, somewhat lengthy, but very good) montage of clips of sexism in the media, interestingly juxtaposed with bits of pop culture from 50 years ago. The result is unnerving. Enjoy, and try not to have access to sharp objects or Fox News commentators directly after viewing.
Equal Writes is a writing project that hopes to start a dialogue about feminism and gender issues on and off campus. Co-Editors Arlyn Katen '12, Sandra Mukasa '12, Alyssa Loh '12, and Ben Wainwright '14 aim to give a voice to young feminist writers with a diverse range of perspectives on some of the most important issues students face here, and in the world at large. We believe in equal rights and opportunities for women. We believe in powerful, passionate women. We believe that men can be excellent feminists too. And we believe that "feminism" is not a dirty word.
