How is that union of ours? We’re going to find out tonight, and even though (because we’re on intersession), EW writers will not be live-blogging the event, I will be participating in a live panel over at RHRealityCheck.org beginning at 8 pm. If you’re watching the speech and feel like commenting or just seeing what other people think, please join in!
You can find out more about the live blog here. We’ll have more reactions to the speech (and to the Republican response, which will be delivered by Virginia’s new governor, Bob McDonnell, who is as misogynistic and dreadful as they come) later this week.
And if the thought of watching this speech sober just depresses you too much (or you just want to read something funny), here are some drinking game ideas for tonight, with my favorites excerpted:
From HuffPo: Obama says “health care.” Do not drink, you will not be given a replacement liver.
From a regular ol’ drinking game website: If “cap and trade” gets mentioned, swap drinks with the person next to you.
NowPublic’s suggestions are less extensive, but I just like the name: “The Audacity of Hops.”
If you have more brilliant suggestions, add them in the comments. See you tonight, and have fun!
