The answer: hilarity. There has been a LOT of discussion online recently about CBS’s decision to run an anti-choice ad during the Super Bowl, sponsored by Focus on the Family. The ad will feature Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow and his mother, who will “share one of their many positive personal stories.” There aren’t specific details about the ad out yet, but most people are assuming that it will be an anti-abortion message about Pam Tebow’s 1987 pregnancy. She contracted amoebic dysentery during a mission trip to the Philippines, ignored a recommendation by doctors to abort her child, and gave birth to Tim. Pro-choice activists have loudly protested the use of Pam Tebow as a pro-life spokesperson, as well as claiming that CBS is violating its anti-advocacy policy by airing this ad.
