“2Gay2—Students Speak”
Frist Multipurpose Room B
6 pm.

Dinner Provided

“Don’t miss it!  After “Too Gay?|Too Gay!” there was a desire to hear more from students about their experiences on campus. Several students from various parts of the campus community will talk about their experience at Princeton around the idea of being “too gay,” which will be followed by an open forum for others to share their experiences or ask question.  We hope you will join us.”

Tuesday, October 19
Work on Women’s Rights in Asia: Lunch Discussion with Princeton in Asia”
Women’s Center, Frist 243
12 noon.

“If you know you want to work on women’s rights issues but aren’t sure how you want to do it, try thinking out of this hemisphere: work with major international NGOs in Vietnam, Nepal or the Philippines that focus on community development through maternal and child healthcare, or volunteer at an orphanage in India that serves children living with HIV/AIDS.  Help develop family planning initiatives with an NGO in China, or advocate against the trafficking of women in Thailand or Cambodia as a part of PiA’s new counter-trafficking initiative.  You can travel in Asia, learn a new language, gain new skills, and work on important human rights issues all at the same time.  Why not?

Princeton in Asia offers year-long fellowships for graduating seniors (and summer internships for underclassmen) in 17 Asian countries in a variety of fields: education, health, international development, environment, journalism, law and business.  To find out more, come to lunch with PiA staff who will speak about PiA’s fellowship offerings and answer any questions. Lunch will be provided. Sponsored by the Women’s Center and Princeton in Asia.”
